Stir-Fried Kalio Vegetables emerges as a harmonious addition to Chinese New Year celebrations, blending vibrant colors and rich flavors to symbolize prosperity.
This versatile and practical dish reflects the unity of family gatherings, promising a delightful and auspicious start to the Year of the Dragon year.
What to Prepare?
2 cups mixed vegetables (cabbage, carrots or any other veggies of your choice)
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1 onion
2 cloves minced garlic
1 teaspoon ginger
1 pack 250g AYA Real Food Kalio
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
Steps of Preparation:
Step 1: Wash and chop the mixed vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
Step 2: In a wok or large skillet, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat.
Step 3: Add the thinly sliced onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger to the hot oil. Sauté until the onions become translucent and the mixture becomes fragrant.
Step 4: Toss in the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes or until they are slightly tender but still crisp.
Step 5: Add the Kalio paste to the vegetables, ensuring it coats them evenly. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Step 6: Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Continue to stir-fry until the vegetables are cooked to your desired level of doneness.
Step 7: If desired, garnish the stir-fried Kalio vegetables with fresh cilantro, green onions, or sesame seeds for added flavor and presentation.
Step 8: You’re done! Transfer the stir-fried Kalio vegetables to a serving dish and serve immediately over steamed rice or noodles.
