1 teaspoon ginger
1 red bell pepper
1 yellow bell pepper
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon fish sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Lime wedges for serving
Steps of Preparation:
Step 1: In a bowl, toss the shrimp with the Kalio sauce . Allow them to marinate for at least 15-20 minutes.
Step 2: In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Step 3: Add finely sliced onions, minced garlic, and grated ginger to the hot oil. Sauté until the onions are translucent and the mixture becomes fragrant.
Step 4: Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes or until they start to turn pink.
Step 5: Stir in the thinly sliced red and yellow bell peppers. Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender yet still vibrant.
Step 6: Season the shrimp and vegetables with soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
Step 7: Increase the heat to high and fry the shrimp for an additional 2-3 minutes until they develop a slight crispiness on the edges.
Step 8: Garnish the Fried Kalio Shrimp with fresh cilantro, if desired. Serve the dish with lime wedges on the side.
Step 9: You’re done! Transfer the Fried Kalio Shrimp to a serving plate and serve immediately over steamed rice or noodles.
