Chinese New Year Special Recipe

Steamed Whole Fish symbolizes abundance and prosperity. Here's a simple and delicious recipe for Steamed Whole Fish with our AYA Real Food Kalio sauce:

What to Prepare?

1 whole fish

1 pack

500g AYA Real Food Kalio sauce

3 slices ginger

2 green onions (sliced diagonally)

Fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Steps of Preparation:

Step 1: Make 2-3 diagonal cuts on each side of the fish to allow for even cooking.
Step 2: Pat the fish dry with paper towels, inside and out.
Step 3: Place the fish on a heatproof dish that fits into your steamer. If you don't have a steamer, you can improvise one by placing a heatproof rack or trivet in a large wok or pan with a tight-fitting lid.
Step 4: Pour AYA Real Food Kalio sauce in a small bowl.
Step 5: Pour half of the Kalio sauce over the fish, making sure to get some inside the cuts.
Step 6: Sprinkle the julienned ginger over the fish.
Step 7: Reserve the remaining Kalio sauce for later use.
Step 8: Bring water in the steamer to a boil. Place the dish with the fish in the steamer.
Step 9: Steam the fish for about 10-15 minutes, depending on its size, or until the flesh flakes easily. The fish's eyes should also turn white when it's done.
Step 10: Carefully remove the dish from the steamer.
Step 11: Pour the reserved Kalio sauce over the fish.
Step 12: Garnish with sliced green onions and fresh cilantro.
Step 13: You’re done!
